WOW! Just, wow! Who had ever even heard of a BOMB CYCLONE? I certainly had never heard of such a thing, but now I can say that I have survived one! I hope this December newsletter finds all of you with light, heat, hot water, and food to eat. I noticed something interesting during this trial for so many people - we all seemed to be a little more kind and patient and helpful. We didn't have to wait for an introduction to the person down the street that had a tree in their house. We just picked up a chainsaw and rake and went to work. Strangers had conversations while standing in line at the grocery story waiting to buy groceries to replace those items that had to be thrown out. Lines at gas stations found people sharing stories of their experience during this severe weather event. We paid attention and we felt empathy. Wouldn't it be nice if we could do and feel those things in our normal, everyday lives? Maybe something we can all work on in the new year. For important information about WSFMC, Read more
