HELEN CROWE SNELLING COMPETITION"Washington is my first love and I shall remember the Federation in my will." ~ Helen Crowe Snelling
This she did! Upon her death in 1981, scholarship monies were made available to Federated Clubs in the State of Washington. The Helen Crowe Snelling Competition is unique to Washington State. Its purpose is to encourage and support excellence in music performance, and showcase young talent. Ms. Snelling helped organize the Washington State Federation of Music Clubs and was the State President from 1925 to 1929. She provided many years of service to the NFMC, and it is through her generosity that the WSFMC can give scholarships and awards in her name. |
